I always loved buying on ebay and finding the best prices for products worldwide. I always tried to teach people how to do the same, but nobody wanted to go to the trouble. So when my dentist in Brasil asked me for a product that was only available in Europe (and could be bought online easily) I tough that people dont want to learn how to buy things, they want someone to make it easy for them to get it.
I then created a website with shopify in a week spending less then 100 dollars, and with no inventory. I started selling to Brasil using Google Adwords, which worked really well for me because I´ve read the book Adwords for Dummies, and with that alone my online campaigns wore a lot better then all of my competitors.
Research what are people already searching online using adwords keyword tool, and figure out if you can deliver something better then what they can get right now.
