To get Rocketcases off the ground, we set up a really simple website with one case, which we drop shipped from a reseller. Next, we bought Adwords for relevant keywords to see if people would buy it. Sales came in which proved our concept.
Since then, we now design all our own cases and have a fulfillment warehouse handling all of our orders, inventory and shipping services. We can currently be found in Best Buy and have been featured on Business Insider, The Huffington Post and the LA Times.
Just because someone else is doing it doesn't mean you can't do it better.
